Our Mission Statement:

Domestic Violence Project, Inc. provides emergency and supportive services, including drug and alcohol treatment, to victims of domestic violence and promotes increased public awareness of domestic violence issues.

Vision:

We will not rest until...

  • Every person in Stark County is free from abuse;
  • We use across the County a common message with common terminology about interpersonal violence;
  • Domestic Violence Project has stable and adequate funding;
  • We have in place a complete and effective violence education/prevention/awareness campaign for Stark County students grades pre-K through 12;
  • Aftercare services, including transitional housing and recovery services, are continued for six months to a year.

Values:

Domestic Violence Project operates within specific guidelines which reflect the values of the Agency.  The Agency will...

  • Never allow anything to take precedence over providing a safe environment for victims of domestic violence;
  • Never compromise the rights and dignity of program participants;
  • Provide quality services, including recovery services, to victims of domestic violence;
  • Always advocate on behalf of victims of domestic violence and those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse;
  • Always seek the input of the people who use the services;
  • Initiate and support cooperative networks among other service providers;
