Running4Hope

NEW to the lineup of Domestic Violence Project, Inc. events and prevention we offered Running4Hope, sponsored by Anvil Auto. Held Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Stark State College Advanced Technology Center, nearly 175 runners and walkers joined us for a successful event. The clouds parted and the sun emerged just long enough for our event to take place.
Participants strapped on their shoes, grabbed their family and friends and got ready to run! Participation in this event directly impacted the community education department allowing our prevention educators to provide the necessary tools to help students develop healthy, affirming relationships and recognize the signs of abuse.
This event was part of the 2010 Subway Challenge Series.
The event concluded with the awards ceremony and a dedication honoring Jessie M. Davis, 2007 domestic violence victim.
